Hi guys!

I know, wow how long has it been? Ahhh well... I'm really busy as usual, but this was a special piece.. for someone very special to me. It was my dearest Hikari89's birthday! We both love the "Black Jewels Trilogy" by Anne Bishop, and I thought of making it for her... since it's a passion we both share... I'm glad that you liked it love, may it stay on your wall and cheer you up when I physically can't be there to do so.

As for the concept, I was thinking of the 3 pointed triangle that was seen in the web of dreams for Janelle. The lover, the brother, and the mirror(father). Hence Sadi, Lucivar, and Saetan. All of them in the abyss within Janelle. I know... technically she should be in her true form here... but meh! This was what I had pictured in my head.

I hope you all like it! I will be posting Trials of Love before the summer is out, I am toning it right now! =)

Also, all credit to the story and inspiration (apart from Hikari89) goes to Anne Bishop... Thank you!

This is honestly one of the best fanarts for this series I have ever seen, hands-down. I am in LOVE with the detail on the outfits and the depictions of the characters themselves. The only criticism I have is that Jaenelle is the only one who is fair-skinned out of her triangle; the rest have light-brown skin. Outside of that it is *perfect*, especially Jaenelle.

I have to ask, what medium did you use for this picture? Also, it deserves to be featured in the Anne Bishop group here on DA; I'm not sure how to do that, but honestly, it *deserves* it.

Again, this is absolutely lovely and I hope you do more BJT fanart in the future!

Awww thank you! That really made my night. I'm just a huge fan of the Black Jewels Trilogy, so I'm glad that I can relate to other fans in this medium.

As for what I used... Let me see now... I used copic markers, water color paints, pastel, and black ink pens for outlining. If you have any questions I'll try to get back as soon as I can.. I'm in school so it can be difficult at times to reply... I'm sorry for that again.

Thank you again, for the critiques as well. I am glad you like this piece as much as I did drawing it!

My, hello again, dear! It was such a pleasant surprise to see this in my inbox. I am not familiar with Black Jewels Trilogy, but this piece might make look deeper into it. It's beautiful, and I really like the coloring. And it's also wonderful to hear that you're still working on Trials of Love ♥
Great to hear from you again, hopefully all is well in your life!

Thank you! Good to be back! I've missed everyone on here, and even though I can't always post... it doesn't mean that you all on DA aren't far from my thoughts... so thank you again sweetheart. As for The Black Jewels Trilogy.. it's REALLY good! I'm re-reading the book series... and normally I have to love a series to re-read it. It's a more... well mature novel due to some of it's graphic descriptive content... but if you like fantasy and magic it's a good read. Glad you liked the art!

Life keeps us busy, right? But it's always great to hear from you, so it's alright  Oh, and how's your school? Hope it's been going smoothly!
And yes, I haven't read a good book in a while, so I might check this series out soon. Though it might prove to be a bit difficult to get my hands on them, for I do not know if they're available in my country (I'm from Finland), but I'll try my best :)
And of course I liked it sweetheart, I always adore your work!

Ahh sorry for the late reply my dear. School is going well! I'm in a massage clinic now helping clients, as well as doing orthopedic theory. It's a lot, but it's a really rewarding career. And it helps me with drawing anatomy too! Thank you for the inspiration, your comments always make me smile. :glomp:

As for the books... hmmm, well I'll see what I can do to research a possible collection in Finland. I know she made them in a couple different languages... but I'm not sure which ones again... I'll check and get back to you! =)

Don't worry about it hun, take your time! I'm just glad to hear from you, no matter how much time passes ♥
Oh, and how wonderful! That must be very rewarding indeed. Challenging, yes, but when you are motivated about something, you also have the willpower to get through all the obstacles in your way. And you are such a sweetheart, I think there couldn't be more a fitting job for you than one in which you can help people. This world needs people like you  Plus, getting better at drawing anatomy is a great side-benefit too, haha! And awww, thank you dear, I could say the same about you! You are such an inspiration, be it your art or simply the person you are, I'm just so glad whenever I see new art from you or get the chance to talk to you like this. It brights up my day :glomp:

Oh, and thank you for offering to do such a thing! I researched a bit on my behalf some time ago, and I think the trilogy might not be translated to my language - yet, at least -, but I would really like to read it in English, so I'll try and search for English copies :) I'd love to read this trilogy, it seems so intriguing!
